Yamaha cancelled half of the pre-ordered sled's and skiddoo has the same problem as Polaris. I'm expecting a rush of buying anything off the showroom floor until next season.
The pickings are slim.
Just put a deposit on 2022 Skidoo Backcountry X that was a snowcheck someone backed out on so I still get the 3 year warranty. It was actually cheaper than the XCR I ordered. I'll probably still take the XCR when it comes in and sell it.

Just got a follow up email from Polaris my dates now pushed back to Dec 31. Current excuse is drive shaft shortages, okay then why are so many floor models built first? They have the same drive shaft as a VR-1 snow check model that’s now delayed all so called Star fire series sleds should have ran down the assembly line first.
All snow-checks should’ve gone first, Starfire or XC’s… been saying this for months when dealer selected sleds started showing up

It's official, my 2022 XCR 850 RWB 136" with 1.6" Cobra and 7s display that was slated for 12/15 ship date just got pushed to a date range of 1/1/2022 thru 1/31/2022. Highly unlikely I'm sure that I will see it before February 1st since you have to figure in shipping time and some dealer prep. Dealer says I could cancel anytime before the ship date and get my $500 back but once it ships no refunds. I asked about moving it to a 2023 snowcheck and he said he could keep the $500 deposit and move it to a 2023 if I decide to go that route. Anyone know how real these rumors are of a 2023 boosted trail sled?

I got the 1.6 as well, still February but haven’t got the new email yet. Weird how they are so far apart.
The only thing that is consistent is the inconsistency of information and open for interpretation emails.

Ordered 2 XCRs 850 RWB 136 7S 1.35 cobra
650 Black standard gauge 1.25 Ice Ripper both now in the 1/1/22-1/31/22 range to ship. Supply chain issues everywhere yes but maybe they should’ve limited the amount of snowchecks to ensure if you ordered one you’d receive it on time. Luckily I still have my 2020 800RR the wife however is out until at least one sled shows up. Disappointed to say the least.

I would certainly never have an issue with my dealer if the factory said they couldn't deliver the sled until February, but I would have to say fuck off to the deal as I wouldn't want to pay new sled pricing to what equates to a carryover sled.

where did you get that info from on drive shafts? In the email from Polaris?

What Polaris model/pkg/color did you actually snowcheck...And would you be willing to take a roadtrip to get your exact sled or something close that may be sitting on a dealers showroom floor with all it's components and ready to be delivered to any off the street buyer...
This dealer has 62 new sleds for sale, not all 22's, but 62 new sleds nonetheless.

Lol, I live 5 minutes down the road from this joke of a dealership..where they have add on fees just to have add on fees... want skis? ADD ON. want us to set up your new sled, 1200$. I personally would NEVER buy a sled or any machine through them. I have heard tons of horror stories.

I got a great deal from them on my early order 21 Matryx, but I would definitely say they are using market conditions for there current sales strategy.

Thing is I could go to my local dealer and purchase a 2021 XCR 850 128” same as I ordered mine with the exception I got the 136”. It’s the AXYS chassis and $1500 cheaper. I got the 22 sold when it gets here unless it’s late getting here like mid January or February then I may take it

It’s called gouging! Let me know if hurts someone’s feelings .
Gouging is great from a short term profit motive, but it's a poor long term strategy as it will compel many never to shop at that store again.
